*** PLEASE READ THESE IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE REGISTERING ***
SWITCHING CLASSES IS PROHIBITED:
- Take your time deciding on classes for your children. Switching classes will not be permitted due to the amount of additional work it causes.
- If you are not 100% certain about enrolling your student in a class, do not enroll them in it.
- Teacher's email addresses are available on the Class Description document (located in the left hand sidebar of this page). Ask teachers questions regarding classes ahead of time in order to pick the most appropriate class for your child.
SPECIAL NEEDS/STRUGGLING LEARNERS:
- The LWE co-op environment is not equipped to handle special needs children & struggling learners, as most volunteer moms/teachers are untrained in this area. However, we want everyone to feel welcome and to have a positive experience at LWE. Please take time to speak directly with the teachers/facilitators in the classes where you hope to place your child before registering. This can help you decide what is best for your student.
AGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Please acknowledge the age limits.
- If your student will turn the appropriate age within the semester, speak to the teacher before registering.
STUDY HALL:
- We DO NOT have a room for Study Hall. We are utilizing the limited amount of rooms for classes.
- Please remember that you are permitted to come to classes at a specific time; you do not have to come at 9am if there is not a class you want your child to take.
- You may also leave at any point your student is finished with his/her class.
CLASS CAPPING:
- Because many classes at LWE hit their limit quickly we have offered more popular classes, have repeated specific classes, and some classes run at two different time slots (eg. Draw! Write! Now! is offered at 10am & 11am).
- Make sure you have a backup class in mind in case your first choice is capped.
- You will only hear from those handling registration if you need to be put on a wait list.
VOLUNTEER POSITIONS:
- We need everyone's help to pull off an excellent co-op!
- Volunteer positions are assigned by how you use the co-op. If you have multiple children in multiple classes you will be epected to volunteer more than a parent with one child in one class.
- You are responsible to carry these duties out and be readily available to assist wherever needed.
- If you are not in the building during classes, you or your child will be asked to assist in some way (eg. lunch table setup, Sunday setup, Monday setup or cleanup duty).
- Volunteer positions are on a first-come first-served basis.
- Please fill out all THREE volunteer choices for each timeslot on the registration form.
- Teachers may request specific Moms to aid in their classes. Teacher requests are met prior to form requests.
