Greetings members! Now that the Harvest and Halloween-related activities are behind us it's time to look ahead to Living Water's upcoming Thanksgiving Feast scheduled for Monday, November 24th starting at 11:00am at Easton Bible Church. If you haven't already signed up for this event be sure to email Tracy Apple at gtafam@juno.com. She will need to know how many are attending and what food or drink item you are volunteering to contribute. Also, there may still be opportunities to assist with set-up, clean-up, games and crafts. Also take note of two other important events that are happening this upcoming week:
Enjoy the many articles posted on the Living Water website from this past week! Blessings,
In This Issue
12th Grade Graduation Ceremony Planning MeetingIf you are interested in joining the 12th grade graduation ceremony in 2009, contact Sue Hurst at hurstnj@comcast.net. The first meeting will be held Tuesday, November 11th. Location of meeting will be at the House's residence in Vincentown. After contacting Sue, you will be emailed a survey that will need to be sent back before the meeting, so the first meeting can be simplified and gain from your great input. If you know of a family that may want to participate but they are not a part of Living Water, please help spread the news! A Class Trip Thank You NoteTHANK YOU! Two small words with huge meaning. The Living Water High School class trip to Bermuda was a success! The kids learned more about Bermuda's history and sea life and and some on-site training about meteorology...in the way of a very large storm! On our first day out to sea the ship encountered winds gusting up to 85
miles per hour and 45 foot sea swells! The ship is huge and although
we all felt like a shaken snow globe, we all seemed to fair well.
Once we arrived in Bermuda the skies cleared and we enjoyed learning and
exploring this beautiful island. The trip back was so much
fun. God Bless, Envelope-Stuffing Fellowship for ENOCHLadies! Do you feel guilty about spending an evening out JUST for fellowship? We've got the solution! Education Network of Christian Homeschoolers of NJ (ENOCH) needs to get a large mailing out to potential exhibitors for the annual homeschool convention (about 500 pieces). We need your help! If you'd like to spend an evening fellowshipping AND stuffing envelopes, contact Sue August at mark.august@verizon.net. We'll meet at the Laberee's house in Medford on Wednesday, November 12th at 7:00pm. (Rosemary promised to provide CANDY!!!) 2nd Annual Living Water Bonfire Party & Coat Drive - LW MEMBERS ONLY
This event is open to all Living Water families. Grandparents are welcome, too!!! Dads - this is an excellent opportunity to meet and other homeschool dads and their families! We're asking each family to bring the following:
We'll provide the plates, bowls, cups, utensils, napkins and, of course, hot chocolate, marshmallows, roasting sticks and S'more ingredients! As with last year, all the coat donations will be delivered to a local charity for distribution to those in need. It's going to be a night of great fun and fellowship. Hope you can all make it! Please RSVP to Irene Taschek at itaschek@comcast.net by Wednesday, November 12th if you plan on participating! Bouncing Trip to Bounce-U

Wetlands Institute Homeschool Classes ContinueThis event was originally advertised on the West Jersey Homeschooler's Yahoo Discussion Group, a local area group dedicated to sharing educational and social opportunities for all homeschoolers. If you would like to join this discussion group, visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/westjerseyhomeschoolers and click on the Join This Group button. The Wetlands Institute Homeschool Classes are continuing throughout the year. Classes are on the second Tuesday of each month at 1:30pm. The remaining classes are as follows: 11/11- Winter Adaptations I understand that there are families who wish to attend all these classes. If that's you, you can reserve space at all of these classes with a nonrefundable pre-payment in the form of a check payable to the Wetlands Institute. Here's how: 1. Contact me at bluebostonshore@yahoo.com with a message that you wish to reserve for the rest of the year, include your name & the names and ages of your children for whom you are prepaying. Space for each class is limited to 30 students. 2. Prepaid reservations will require a check payable to the Wetlands Institute ($6 per student x 7 classes ) You may bring this check with you to the November class, and I'll put you on the list as attending every month. If you do not wish to prepay for the classes, but are still interested in attending classes, you will need to contact me off loop at bluebostonshore@yahoo.com to get on the RSVP list. (provided there is room) Please provide the names and ages of the kids as well as your name. Hopefully, this will enable those who want a guaranteed space to know they have that commitment, while still providing flexibility for those who want to attend periodically. For more information about the Wetlands Institute visit their website at www.wetlandsinstitute.org Thanks, Survival Program at Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife RefugeThe Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge in Medford is offering a 2 1/2 hour survival program for homeschoolers on Thursday, January 15th (this class will likely be held in the afternoon after lunch). ENOCH's South Jersey Spelling BeeMy name is Jordan Massey, and I'm spreading the word to homeshooling groups in South Jersey. I am part of a group of several homeschooled teens working to organize the spelling bee this year, and we need to get the word out! My group and I would love to have the opportunity to come in to one of your general meetings or a co-op to briefly talk to the 5th to 8th graders (or their parents) about this event. If this would work for you or are interested in having our group visit, please feel free to email me at jmass0@comcast.net.
