 LW Leadership Faith Statement
The Holy Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and contains His completed and final revelation to man. We do not endorse or encourage the use of any teaching that conflicts with what is contained in God’s Word. The Bible, in its original form, is without error in its entirety. The Word of God has been and will remain the ultimate authority as we seek His wisdom in representing His group in a way that honors and magnifies the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Greetings members!

Even though Thanksgiving and Christmas have yet to arrive, we have been hard at work planning and organizing the Winter/Spring 2009 semester of Living Water Enrichment (LWE) for the benefit of all of our members.

In an attempt to make this process easier on everyone we have decided to accept registration forms via MAIL IN or DROP BOX only, starting on Monday, November 17th.  These will be handled on a first come, first served basis through a dated and numbered system. To make this easy on administration and to keep it fair for all attendees, please follow all instructions below.

In addition to being available via links in this edition of the Weekly eNews, the Class Description, Class Matrix and Registration Form documents may also be found on the Living Water Enrichment page of our website.

Please note the following:

  • Do NOT mail in your registration form prior to November 17th.
  • Leaders can not accept hand delivered forms.  You will find a drop box at LWE on Mondays.
  • A check MUST accompany each form.
  • Registration ends January 2nd.

You will notice that the Registration Form's layout and content has changed. Please read over it carefully and follow the steps below:

  1. PRINT all "Family Information" information clearly.
  2. PRINT each attending child's name AND birthdates. A birthdate is needed for each child for confirmation of appropriate placement in classes.
  3. Read the "Volunteer Information" section.
  4. Check off time frames when you, the parent, will be in the building or if your student driver will be there in place of you.
  5. Fill in your volunteer choices as described. We will carefully consider your choices, but we may not be able to grant all requests. (If you are teaching a class or asked to be a classroom helper by a specific teacher please note that as your choice in the appropriate hour.)
  6. Read the "Building Usage Fee Costs & Refunds" section.
  7. Read the "Leadership Faith Statement" section.
  8. Read the "Acceptance" section and please look & read the guidelines and rules.
  9. Sign and date the agreement.
  10. Review the class choices before you check off your selections as the format has changed. Please be careful not to sign your child up for more than one class per hour.  Take the time to think over your selection to make certain this is where you want your child; this will avoid switching of classes and extra administrative work.
  11. Place your form & check in an envelope.
  12. Mail your envelope to the address at the top of the form OR drop your envelope into the box at LWE beginning Monday, November 17th.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at rivergirl72@comcast.net.

Blessings,

Bonfire Party & Coat Drive Update

We are hoping for clear skies the night of the Bonfire Party & Coat Drive (next Saturday, November 15th).  However, if the weather turns rainy the party will, unfortunately, have to be cancelled Frown.  As of today, the forecast for next Saturday is questionable but that could all change.  I am keeping a list of those who have RSVP'd to the party and will send out an email and make phone calls next Saturday to confirm any cancellations.  If you don't hear from me, the party is scheduled as planned!

For those who have not yet RSVP'd and you would like to attend, please send me an email at itaschek@comcast.net.

Roald Dahl's marvelous books have captivated young readers for over fifty years. Now, his classic characters, including young James Trotter, Old-Green-Grasshopper, Centipede, Miss Spide and more leap from the page to the stage in Two Beans Productions' enchanting play, James and the Giant Peach.

At the top of a lonely hill, James lives with his cruel aunts near a garden where nothing grows except a barren peach tree. A mysterious man gives James a bag full of magic crystals which he promises will change the seven-year-old's life. But when James accidentally spills the crystals at the roots of the ancient tree, strange things start to happen. Wonderful things. Grandiose, colossal things, as the old tree starts to bloom again and the creepy-crawlies from the ground take up residence inside its immense peach!

Join James and his lovable new insect friends as they journey down the hill, through the countryside, across the sea and into the air! Discover, along with our heroes, how a little magic can take you a long way.
