 LW Leadership Faith Statement
The Holy Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and contains His completed and final revelation to man. We do not endorse or encourage the use of any teaching that conflicts with what is contained in God’s Word. The Bible, in its original form, is without error in its entirety. The Word of God has been and will remain the ultimate authority as we seek His wisdom in representing His group in a way that honors and magnifies the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Welcoming the New Year...

2008 was a year of challenges and change in our great country.  In many ways, we see the global events - both the threats and the valiant efforts to meet them and prevail - as a microcosm of what each of us faces in our own individual homeschools.

Specifically, we are witness to an enormous response to long-standing problems in our country’s economy and social constructs.  But most of this response does not get to the heart of the problem.  This little dance gets performed daily in our life in so many different ways.   Maybe this is true for you, too?

Our hope for 2009 is for more prayer with greater humility and more prayer for greater courage – so that real solutions can be found for real problems with the help of our real God through whom all things can happen.

Please note that this is the last edition of the Weekly eNews for 2008!  The next mailing of the eNews will be on January 10th, 2009.

Have a prayer-filled, joyful, spiritually prosperous 2009!

H20 Rock Climbing Event

Greetings, Middle Schoolers!

What a great time we had at our caroling party!  We had more than twenty-five fabulous 6th, 7th, and 8th grade singers (not to mention the boisterous voices of the dads in attendance), and the neighbors on Cochise Circle have made reference to the fact that we've never sounded better!  The December weather was gorgeous - no jackets required -  and the hungry carolers were even able to take their cookies and cocoa outside  to the picnic tables after singing.  Thanks to all who came out and  ministered to the residents on our street reminding all why we really celebrate  Christmas!  The attached photo shows just some of our Junior High gang.

If you weren't able to make it in on Monday night, you  were missed!  But our next event is just around the corner.  So mark your calendars for Monday night, January 19th - it's time to go ROCK CLIMBING!!!   Click open this flyer - and send your reservations in to Mrs. Laberee!

SAT Preparation

If you have a high school student and seek SAT Prep assistance, Living Water members have had great success with Mr. John Tchou of Medford.  Mr. Tchou has been doing this work for many, many years and has a proven track record for success – higher scores!  You can call him at 609-953-2970.  Please let him know that you read about him in our newsletter and website!

It's Reading Time Again!

Sign up your K-6th graders for the Six Flags Six Hour Reading Club!  Simply read (or be read to from) any books, comics, magazines, etc., excluding school books, for six hours and you  will receive a FREE ticket to Six Flags that can be used during mid-June, July or early August!  Each teacher will receive 1 free ticket as well (sorry -  only 1 teacher ticket per household even if Dad teaches, too).

To register send an email to Ana Williams at livingwaterhomeschool@comcast.net with your name, your child's name, grade, email address and phone number.   Please put "Six Flags" in the subject line.

Start reading January 1st and keep track of the titles and hours using the Student Form contained in this document.  The completed form is due back to Ana no later than February 20th, 2009.

Spelling Bee Tip of the Week

The ENOCH - South Jersey

Don't let the hustle and bustle of the Christmas holiday go to waste! Jump into the festivities and decorate your bedroom. You might construct fancy paper-chain streamers to criss-cross the ceiling with lots of large-print spelling words to dangle from them. This is a good way to elicit an unusually high visibility to many harder, less familiar words.
