LW Leadership Faith Statement The Holy Bible is the
inspired and infallible Word of God and contains His completed and final
revelation to man. We do not endorse or encourage the use of any teaching
that conflicts with what is contained in God’s Word. The Bible, in its
original form, is without error in its entirety. The Word of God has been
and will remain the ultimate authority as we seek His wisdom in
representing His group in a way that honors and magnifies the name of our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
LW Mission
Statement Living Water Home Educators is composed of homeschool families in
Burlington County, NJ and surrounding areas who come together to
support one another. Each family that homeschools is an independent,
private school that has the freedom to install the beliefs and values that
we, the parents, feel are most important to our children. Since this
group is not affiliated with any one particular church, we feel it is
important for you to know where the leadership of this group stands so
that you can feel comfortable participating in the activities and events
we offer.
LW Activities Disclaimer Please be advised that any
activities that are advertised in the Living Water Weekly eNews or website
may not necessarily be activities that conform to Living Water's Faith
Statement (see above). Members should not make any assumptions about
the teachings or content that may be provided at these activities and
should exercise due diligence before deciding to participate. These
include activities that are considered as "outside interest" as well as
those activities (including field trips) that are organized exclusively
for Living Water members.

Greetings Members!
It's amazing how our group membership
continues to grow and grow and grow! We now have 137 families
with over 300 children between them! With so many new members in the
past few months alone, we thought it was time to issue an updated Member
Directory (it's attached to this email). Please take a moment to
review your own contact information and to submit any changes to Brook
Gall at rivergirl72@comcast.net to be
included in the next revision.

Fifteen
middle-schoolers descended upon Elite Climbing on Monday night and scaled
the walls like pros! It was inspiring to see the kids gaze upward at
the footholds and handholds with that determined look…and then gut it out
until they reached the top! Spiderman – eat your heart
out. H2O did these vertical climbs without the webs!
What an impressive group of young men and ladies. Go, go, H2O
!!
A special thanks goes out to all the parents who served as
belayers!! Your strong and steady arms allowed many of our middle
schoolers to climb at one time. Thank you Mr. Kimble, Mr. Stransky,
Mr. Woodhull, Mr. Young, and Mrs. Laberee, too.
Thanks to my computer savvy daughter, a little photo scrapbook of our
H20 rock climbing night is available by clicking here:
Looking ahead: February 16th is our next H2O event. It is
sure to be a great night, so mark your calendars now. Click here for all the details!
Blessings, Robin Young (on behalf of all the leaders)
Living Water has invited Debra Bell to speak to our support

on preparing your high school student for academic success.
Her workshop will include detail on the tests (AP, SAT, SAT II,

transcript should include for the college bound, and what looking for a
college includes. There will be handouts. Your high school student
is welcome to attend this workshop. Connie's email, if you have
questions, is mathq2002@yahoo.com.
The Debra Bell workshop is FREE to Living Water members. The cost
to non-members is $15, which can be paid at the door. No need to pay in

room, you can both see and hear the presenter.
Living Water members, this is free for you. It is
$15 for all others. In a few days, this event will be advertised to
the broader homeschool community. Since the church has limited

Dear Friends of Snowflake Ski Club:
Snowflake Ski Club's annual "Bring a Friend" Days are now on the
calendar! The dates are Tuesday, January 27th and Tuesday, February
10th. Rates below are the same for both dates. "Friends"
can send me an email with the names of those participating, what they are
purchasing (lift, snowboard rental & lesson, etc) and which dates they
are joining us. Also, please put "Snowflake Bring a Friend" in the
subject line so I don't miss anyone. I need to have a general count
by the Sunday prior to the day for Group Sales. We can still add to
this count by that Monday night though, as long as I know in
advance.
Pick up lift tickets, rental forms and lesson tags in Trepp Lodge,
located in the lodge upstairs to the right after crossing the
bridge. There will no online pre-set registrations this
year. We are assured that the rental department will process
Bring A Friend participants quickly.

Hi everyone, here is your Spelling Bee Tip of the Week:
An idea to combat homonyms would be to design a really cool spelling
bee poster to adorn a wall or door in your room. Creative collages can
each show off a pair of common homonyms and the short definition for each.
Perhaps including each one in a clever, humorous or outrageous sentence of
your own invention.
Many children who struggle with reading or do not like to read have
visual problems. Vision therapy or reading glasses can help many of these
problems, but it can also help with lazy eye. Ro Laberee's daughter
underwent vision therapy for amblyopia (lazy eye):
“My daughter benefited greatly from Dr.
Gallaway's vision therapy. She had no trouble reading or anything, but had
a lazy eye that had been diagnosed as "cured" when she was 6. It wasn't.
An ophthalmologist at Will's Eye told me she would never have decent
vision in her one eye. He was wrong. Dr. Gallaway got her vision
very close to 20/20!”
Does your child struggle with reading or schoolwork? Does
your child not enjoy reading as much as you’d like? Does your child
lose their place, get tired, or get headaches during reading or
schoolwork? It’s been estimated that 15-20% of these
children have visual problems that affect reading and learning. Most
of these children have 20/20 vision and routine vision screenings will not
detect these problems. Here are other signs of
learning-related vision problems: • Omits and substitutes words
when reading despite good verbal skills • Poor reading
comprehension • Sloppy handwriting • Would rather have
you read to them • Squints or holds reading material too close
Dr. Michael Gallaway is a pediatric optometrist who treats
children’s vision problems. If you’d like to learn more about how vision
problems can affect reading and learning, Dr. Gallaway offers free
in-office seminars. The next seminars are February 3, March 3, and
April 21 in his office at 4003 J Lincoln Drive West, Marlton, NJ.
Space is limited, please call (856) 988-0080 to reserve a place. You
can also go to www.drgallaway.com
for more information.
