 LW Leadership Faith Statement
The Holy Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and contains His completed and final revelation to man. We do not endorse or encourage the use of any teaching that conflicts with what is contained in God’s Word. The Bible, in its original form, is without error in its entirety. The Word of God has been and will remain the ultimate authority as we seek His wisdom in representing His group in a way that honors and magnifies the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Greetings Members!

What a wonderful night we had at Antonia Rivera's house for the Living Water Ladies Tea this past Tuesday!

Antonia did a great job planning this!  We had a historical or prominent figure's name tagged on our back at the outset, and we had to guess (by asking questions) until we could figure out whose name it was.  I think Madonna (Deb Boyajian) and Coco Chanel (Robin Young) were tied for fastest guesser!  Also, Antonia set up an amazing craft project with vintage tea cups and silk flowers and Andrea Gindhart shared her creative genius with us by presiding over our projects.

Heather Zampino hounded us all until she had gathered up the most clothespins from moms who used that six letter word...SCHOOL.  Her relentless vigilance was paid back when we did the white elephant exchange and she got the really bad looking socks.  We'll probably see those socks again next year, if Heather hasn't incinerated them yet!

Bobbi - I want to know if you actually use that kitchen appliance labeler.  Girl, I am worried about you now.

I've become convinced, after looking at many of these recycled gifts tonight, that the QVC channel should be blocked on all TVs and a moratorium should be declared on the sale of all chachkas!

Ladies, hearing you share your heart for home education has renewed my spirit and hearing your worries and complaints made me feel so...normal!

Over 20 moms came out for the fun, games, delicious treats, and fellowship.  It was just great.  And the fun ended just in time for all of us to get home before too much snow fell.  Perfect timing!

Thank you Antonia (and all who helped!) for making such a memorable evening.

Blessings,
Rosemary Laberee

Local Mock Trial Team in Spotlight

The Homeschool Mock Trial team is called NICHE and is competing with other Burlington County teams this Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, depending on how they advance in the competition.  This year’s trial centers around internet music pirating and proves to be as exciting as ever.   Each school’s team prepares both a plaintiff and a defense team with their witnesses and attorneys.  It is quite impressive to watch their court room demeanor, drama skills, and thinking-on-your-feet articulation talents.  Come and support our home school efforts while learning something about illegal downloading and trial procedures.

The specifics are as follows:  Saturday, January 31, Mount Holly Courthouse at 9:00am for first round, and about noon for second round.  Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday  evenings at 6:00pm at the Mount Holly Courthouse for subsequent rounds of the winners of each previous round.  The final night is occasionally held at the Old Court House right next to the main high rise court building.

This opportunity would be appropriate for anyone who can sit quietly for the duration of the trial.  Parking is in the main lot (tell the lot security you are attending the Mock Trial competitions) and proceed around to the main entrance through the metal detector area.  You will be directed to the appropriate floor for the competitions.

Tri-County Teen Group

This event is being organized outside of Living Water Home Educators.

Homeschooling teens in South Jersey? You'll want to join the SJTeenGroup email list. The teens of this nonsectarian group get together regularly at a variety of activities and the email list is how we disseminate the information. The activities are mainly in Gloucester, Camden and Burlington Counties but occasionally they are elsewhere. We have members in all those counties and some families carpool. Some activities are regularly scheduled in advance, some are planned at the last minute.

Events that are regularly scheduled:

* Teen Nights (both boys and girls) at my home in Glassboro
* Girls' Teen Nights at my home in Glassboro - the girls do crafts, watch movies,
play games and our next night will be a Chocolate Party!
* Get-togethers at Starbucks in Marlton
* Girls Book Club in Mt Laurel

Other events are trips to the movies, mall, volunteer opportunities and others.

Any member of our group is welcome and encouraged to plan something.  It could be something as simple as putting out an email that your daughter or son is going to see a movie on Thursday and would like others to join her. It doesn't have to be an elaborate field trip.

If you'd like to join the email list, please send me an email and tell me a little about your family, including the ages of your children. I have a 16-year old son and a 13-year old daughter.

Thank you,
Sharon Ardito
