Futebol de Salao (wikipedia: futsal) is a 5-a-side indoor version of soccer that has its origins in South America. It is played with a smaller (size 2) heavier ball with almost no bounce. The smaller heavier ball and limited playing area foster quick, skilled play. It is the perfect environment for developing ball control skills and speed that is useful both indoors and on the field. If you would like to be a better player, have faster footwork and develop new skills try Salao soccer!

Salao Soccer leagues are offered at Fellowship in the winter from Jan-Mar and features 5 leagues for children ages 7-18. Highlights include 20 years of successful competition, draft day for equal distribution of talent, equal playing time for all, 8 game season, no team practices, pre/post game values talks, caring coaches, all games at one site. Cost is $35/person and $20 for each additional family members. 

Our 5 leagues for the 2014 season are divided as follows (times are approximate):

SATURDAY GAMES: Jan. 18 - Mar. 8

League A: 7-8 years old (8am)

League B: 9-10 years old (10am)

League C: 11-13 year old boys and 11-12 year old girls (1pm)

TUESDAY NIGHT GAMES: Jan. 21 - Mar. 11

League D: 13-18 year old  girls (7pm)

MONDAY NIGHT GAMES: Jan. 20 - Mar. 10

League E: 14-18 year old boys (7pm)
