Dear Families,

I am excited to announce the NJ Home Educators Science Fair taking place on the morning of Saturday, February 24th, at Rowan College at Burlington County's Student Success Center from 9AM to 12ish.

If your child(ren) would like to present a science/engineering project, please follow these steps:

     1) Fill out the registration form here: https://forms.gle/LYnYWqYAEzJwxMKb8.  Deadline is Friday January 5, 2023.  (Earlier is absolutely better when possible).

     2) Send a check for $20 per student (capped at $60 per family) made out to NJ HOME EDUCATORS and mail to Jonathan Weisbrod 39 Wentwood Court Medford NJ 08055.

    3) Fill out the attached "Hold Harmless Form" and return to me at [email protected].

    4) Prior to completing any experiments, please go through the Society For Science Rules Wizard here: https://ruleswizard.societyforscience.org/.  Please fill out the forms required following the wizard and send those to me as well for review (exception: abstract form is not required).  I'm mostly concerned about safety/ethics boxes being accurate.  The purpose is not to scrutinize anything but rather help students learn the safety and/or ethics expectations of scientific research.  Please send this as soon as your child is ready to get started but no later than January 31st.  Again, earlier is better since approvals that require a scientist or IRB approval have some turnaround time.

* If you know of any families in the area who have not participated before, please forward this email to them! We have the space and enough volunteer judges to increase in size.
